Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat #085, PSA 10 (Pokemon x Van Gogh Museum 🖼️)

In 2023, Pokemon walked into the Van Gogh Museum and made a card that broke the internet.

The Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat is a Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promo (#085) created for the Pokemon x Van Gogh Museum collaboration, celebrating the museum's 50th anniversary. The artwork by Naoyo Kimura reimagines Pikachu in the style of Vincent van Gogh's Self-Portrait with Grey Felt Hat (1887). Visible brushstrokes. Post-impressionist colour palette. Pikachu wearing the hat.

The only way to get one was to complete the "Pokemon Adventure" trail inside the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, or through a limited online purchase at the Pokemon Center. The collaboration ran from September 28, 2023 to January 7, 2024. When it was over, it was over.
